From CakePHP 4 announcements to Phinx joining the family and CakeDC mixing things up, there has been a lot going on. The dust of CakeFest 2017 NYC has just settled, and we have had a few fun announcements that we wanted to share with you! CakePHP 4 Strawberry has been officially announced, and the roadmap plans have been outlined. Read more about the upcoming planned releases here. We have also welcomed Phinx into the CakePHP family. Rob Morgan, the founder of Phinx, recently came to us asking if our team had capacity to look after the project as he does not. And of course we do! We welcome the project into our group and hope that we can do it justice - we welcome community help and support. So if you are keen to contribute, let us know! Did you hear about the new open source plugin from CakeDC? Mixer for CakePHP! You use it to search, install and manage CakePHP 3+ plugins from your browser. Check it out and let them know what you think. We will be interviewing the CakeDC development team shortly! Some cool things are planned for Mixer for CakePHP, which we will share soon. Did you hear? CakeDC has commissioned our very own CakePHP elePHPants! Available for sale are the CakePHP elePHPant and the Cake Software Foundation elePHPant. Hurry! Get your CakePHP elePHPant pre-ordered today! While stocks last. Until next time! Megan Community manager |
