I am just starting out trying to get cake up and running. So I have to
framework in place and I have configured database.php to connect to a
database on MySQL. When I go to the cake root in the browser I get the
correct start up page but then I get this:
"Cake is NOT able to connect to the database."
With no other errors, warning, etc. When I use the same credentials in
the db config command line I can log in no problem. Has anybody seen
this or is there a way to get Cake to be more verbose so I can try to
figure why it can't connect to the DB.
It's running on:
OS X 10.5.5
MySQL 4.1.22-standard
CakePHP 1.2.0.7692 RC3
Thanks.
