Subsequent pages not working in Ubuntu.

Hello,
     I just did Blog tutorial in windows it worked fine. But in ubuntu its not working. I took the entire cake_1_2 folder and copied under /home/user/cake_1_2 and linked this directory to opt/lampp/httpdoc/cake_1_2. The first index page shows up fine, it shows all the three default posts of the tutorial. If I click on any of the links, I get an error that the URL doesnt exist.
