It's embarrassing that it can't send proper email. Even I, a CakePHP
newbie, can send proper emails using the CakePHP email component, why
can't the Bakery? :)
I suspect that the original Bakery people left the project or got too
much real life to get around to tending it.
I also agree that a faster turn around time is necessary. No, not
necessary: crucial.
Absolutely vital.
About the code reviews:
I've seen code and articles on the Bakery which does not conform to
any standard whatsoever, so that requirement just feels silly.
If people register and contribute, why not let them do that?
Readers and moderators can always request improvements later.
It's a pity. And a shame.
