Cricket: I think you've misled Erik to think he has a bug.

"I've executed the individual test case: libs/model/behaviors/
tree.test.php before [] the change and it passes []".

Means to me that there's no reason to make any change to the core at
all.

I would suggest Erik either has:
* to demonstrate he has a bug. How can I/Mark/whomever see the
problem.
* to investigate what app logic is interfering

The best way to do this is to write a failing test case and attach it
to to ticket otherwise, like all the other uninformative tickets it's
likely to go straight down the hold->closed route.
