fmcakemix installation problems

Is anyone using fmCakeMix? I have new install of Cake v2.0.5 and I want to use a filemaker data source. I've followed the instructions that come with fmcakemix to the letter but I'm still getting the error "Cake is NOT able to connect to the database".

fmCakeMix sits between Cake and a library called FX. I can connect to the data sources using FX so I'm getting that right. It just seems that I have to configure Cake correctly but I'm stumped.
