Has anyone experienced slowness with Inflector->underscore? 

I'm seeing a total self cost of 192ms and 2810 invocations.

I'm not seeing anything that jumps out at me in the xdebug profile. Except App->import with 2.43 in the self column of kcachegrind, called 23 times. 

I've attached the call graph for App->import, is it supposed to look this crazy?

The short answer is cake's bootstrap and any startup for components.

To get more detail:

1) use debug kit

2) generate an xdebug profile (and of course look at it).
