I like to start by writing up model test cases+fixtures and then moving them to cake schema when I'm satisfied with the result. I'm not really that familiar with doctrine, but I get the feeling that schema (or Migrations) is a very underused shell.

Is it possible that a tighter coupling between Model, fixtures and SchemaShell which would allow for a more "code first" approach?
