Sent mail to a gmail.com address and a different domain received.

Hi, I had a funny problem with sending an email using cakephp.  I actually use PHPMailer.

My problem is that I sent an email to lets say test123@gmail.com but it didn't go to that email address it went to an address test123@different.com ( both the same username both different domain names)

I made sure that the address I first sent it to was correct and it was.

How could this of happened. There are no forwarding settings on the gmail account or nothing. These were two completly different people.
