ControllerTestCase adding records to default database on testAction

I have found a case in which running testAction will result in the system adding a record to the default database instead of the test database.

If I have in my Controller:

App::uses('Comment', 'Model')

at the top of the file i.e. before the class definition, it will add any records to the default database, instead of the test db

If I add the models to the $this->uses() array then all is well.
