Re: defaultCurrency

Yo should set the currency on the CakeTime class as this is the clear dealing with defaults first (e.g. via bootstrap or AppController::beforeFilter etc)

The helper will inherit it automatically in the view layer.

with no success

I tried also setlocale(LC_MONETARY, 'Italian_Italy.1252', 'ita_ita', 'it_IT');

or 

TimeHelper::defaultCurrency('EUR');
