You could use a 

$products = $this->{Model}->find('all',array(

    'joins' => array(          array(              'table' => 'customers',              'alias' => 'CustomerJoin',              'type' => 'INNER',              'conditions' => array(                  'CustomerJoin.customer_id = ProductFamily.customer_id'              )          )      )));

Again I dont know the code before or your table names
