There are a few ways to contribute all are important in my mind.
-- * Helping people on the mailing list and IRC :)
* Writing blog posts about your experiences and publishing tips/examples of the solutions you've come up with.
* Writing documentation (https://github.com/cakephp/docs). The documentation for CakePHP is an invaluable resource to the community and is a great way to get involved as editing the docs can be done without needing to know git.
* Publishing plugins you've made. We all use plugins and publishing your own is a great way to get started with open source development.
* Writing code for CakePHP - the open issue list (https://github.com/cakephp/cakephp/issues) is a good place to start as you can provide feedback on open pull requests, provide patches for open issues or suggest things you think would improve CakePHP.

I want to contribute to the project but do not know where to start. I need to learn me the code (core), but for this, I need to start with simple things.
Where do I start?
Thanks
