sqlsrv and pdo_sqlsrv module mismatch only inside CAKEPHP

I have installed sqlsrv and pdo_sqlsrv extensions using SQLSRV30.EXE from Microsoft website. The bake command is failing with following php warnings:

PHP Warning:  PHP Startup: pdo_sqlsrv: Unable to initialize module

Module compiled with module API=20100525

PHP    compiled with module API=20090626

These options need to match

 in Unknown on line 0

I am not getting any warnings in PHP (outside cakephp)

Please help !
