CakePHP 3.6 in full swing - have you upgraded?

The time is now, can you feel it??  View this email in your browser CakePHP 3.6 is tasting pretty good!   The team recently released CakePHP 3.6. This will probably be the last release of the CakePHP 3 series. We have already started working hard to get CakePHP 4.0 and there is a detailed roadmap available which is kept up to date - check it out and comment!  CakePHP 3.6 has added a few small features to make your life as a CakePHP developer easier. Some of them include an Improved plugin initialization (based on the recently added Application class), a much better console environment, compact and entity based routing and route cache. That last one (route caching) makes a huge difference in performance on applications with lots of routes. The team at CakeDC work hard at finding ways of improving the performance of the framework - thanks to the major help contributed by Jorge M.
