weird ajax cake quirk? only works first time?

Hi guys,
I made a digg like function that can hide unwanted articles, but it
only works the first time?

A user can come to the site, hide, and everything saves. But if he
refreshes and tries to hide other articles, they don't save in the db
for some reason? It seems to work on first page load, but not the
second.

I'm simply doing... $.post('article/hide/43') with jquery.

Anyone else run into this weird quirk?
