I'm helping a client move his cake php website but have run into a
problem and I'm not entirely sure how to solve it or work out what
could be causing the error. I've dabbled with some php development in
the past but mainly deal in front-end work.
The client's site works fine where it's currently hosted but he's
having major headaches with the company currently hosting it so he's
asked me to get it working with a different hosting company. The plan
is to get it working with the new hosting company then change the name
servers on the domain. The current company/developer are of no help so
i'm a little stuck.
I've uploaded all the website files, imported the database and changed
the config file so it's pointing to the new database and not the old
one but I'm now seeing this generic looking error message:
"CakePHP Rapid Development
Not found
The requested address was not found on this server.
CakePHP : Rapid Development Framework"
Is this error caused by anything in particular, are there any obvious
things I should check? I'm assuming this error is something to do with
the path to the cake folder? If so I don't understand as the folder/
file structure has remained unchanged so I don't see why this error is
appearing.
Any help/advice/suggestions greatly appreciated.
James
