There is a catch all route that you can add last and you can use that
to help with your URLs.
As far as your routes.php file. With that code
http://site.com/
should route to
http://site.com/pages/display/home
Not sure why you're getting the error. Do you have the action/view
home maybe? So you would want:
Router::connect('/', array('controller' => 'pages','action' =>
'home')); which would go to http://site.com/pages/home
