I'm really pleased that you managed to get your head around ACL, but I
have to disagree with you and say it's is a lot more complex than the
other solutions offered.

The very fact that there is a need to write a "Be brave and stick with
it" paragraph in the cookbook proves that a lot of people have
difficulty in implementing ACL so, whilst I am sure you have the best
intentions at heart, it's a little condescending to tell us it's not
complicated at all and that we just need to clean our minds and try
again.

I'm not saying ACL is not a very powerful tool, and I'm sure there
will come a day when I need to use it, but I stand by my opinion that
it is overkill for most small apps.
