Webpage not finding webroot

I have a site (in 1.2) which I have uploaded, but which seems to be
unable to find its own webroot.

The content from the database is fine, but I am getting the following
errors:

1. Not finding images, javascript or css. However, it finds them ok
if I put them at the same level as 'app' and 'cake'.

2. Not finding any page other than the home page. If I click on any
of the links to the rest of the site, I get 'The page cannot be
found'.

All of this works fine on the localhost.

I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction. The
error dump and error logs aren't showing anything up.

The site is www.softwaresolutionsni.co.uk/newSite

I did have it at www.softwaresolutionsni.co.uk, but had exactly the
same problems, so I don't think the subfolder is the problem.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!
Sharon
