Re: Help with function Register--using Auth

Hence, I use Stephen Ninja Coder's script which he helped me with
earlier:

function register()
{
if(!empty($this->data))
{
$this->User->create();
if($this->User->save($this->data))
{
// Validated, Saved the new User.
// Auth component has automatically hashed the
password.
// Job Done :)

$this->Session->setFlash('Your account has been
created successfully');
$this->redirect(array('controller' => 'users',
'action' => 'login'));
}
}
}
--------------

which is working fine. But why does the first one not work ? I'm
trying to understand better...
