$persistModel is removed in Cake 2.0?

in Cake 2.0, controllers don't persistent models in tmp/cache/persistent/ directory, right?

then where does it store those cached objects? or model objects are not cached any more?

i do see some files in tmp/cache/models, but those are table structures i guess.
