There is not a lot of tutorials around that I can find for cake v2. Considering cake v3 is inthe works now I hope people release more tutorials.
I don't think a tutorial is going to help you on this, The concept of a model in cake hasn't changed since it was first released - and models are well documented already (in addition to the huge quantity of google results).
