You could use the fileuploader component from my github repo, then all you have to do is insert the returned file path to your database. Check : https://github.com/malikov/cakephp2.0-image-upload

Well, the thing is, I have to implement a file upload where the uploaded file should be written to the database. Already done with pure php, but would like to do with cakephp, since the whole application is developed with him. If someone can lend a hand, I do not want code, just clarify a little how to cakephp.
