save checkbox value in db

hi,
i'm trying to save checkbox value in database, but it is not saving 1 value,
always 0!!

echo $this->Form->input('active', array('type' => 'checkbox', 'checked' =>
false));

in db active is type of enum with values '0', '1', default - 0
