belongsTo custom condition not working

// in LinkedinPerson

public $hasMany = array(

    'LinkedinRecommendation' => array(

        'className' => 'LinkedinRecommendation',

        'foreignKey' => false,

        'dependent' => true,

    ),

)

// in LinkedinRecommendation

public $belongsTo = array(

    'LinkedinPerson' => array(

        'className' => 'LinkedinPerson',

        'foreignKey' => false,

        'conditions' => array('LinkedinPerson.linkedin_id = LinkedinRecommendation.linkedin_id'),

    ),

);

When I query these out with find() the LinkedinPerson returns ALL recommendations. Not just those associated by linkedin_id. I've tried a variety of different things, and I'm stumped. Can someone help?
