But none of them work smoothly on Linux..

MySQL  Workbench already has it Linux version (still in alpha). After several minutes compiling finally it works. But the export SQL script menu was disabled.. I hope it getting better on the next release..

For Controllers etc.. I would suggest Enterprise Architect.
