Re: Using $content_for_layout how :-(

To include CSS and JS, use the HtmlHelper[1]. This will include files from /webroot/css and /webroot/js

$content_for_layout holds the content from the rendered view. All you need to do is echo it in the layout. There isn't anything more that you need to do with it.
