I'm an integrator using CakePHP for small apps, containing 2-8 tables,
usually nothing very flashy. I like the very simple scaffolding, being
able to create something usable in a few hours/days.
However, the default theme delivered with 1.x/2.0/2.1 uses a lot of
horizontal space, and usually, the user has to scroll horizontally for
even the smallest tables (4-5 fields). Things are so big, the fields
wrap their content, pushing the pagination button down, making the usage
painful due to many horizontal and vertical scrolling needed to reach
buttons and actions.
I have tried to make things smaller by editing the CSS file, but I'm not
a CSS expert (and don't want to become one, too many other things to do).
Does someone has a theme usable with scaffolded applications, using much
smaller fonts, boxes, areas, etc ?
Or is there a theme center somewhere, with a few themes available ? I
didn't find one so far.
TIA and best regards,
Charles
