Reuben, somehow I agree with your statement. Right now I quite tearing my hair out at why CI can't let query strings and segments co-exist peacefully. It even strips out query strings from Facebook Auth.

I can't comment on the latest release, but when I was looking at it, way back when, it was distinctly stale.
