Restrict access subFolder under webroot.

Dear all,

Thanks in advance. My problem is that if someone tries to put the URL like http://test.com/css_or_js_or_otherFolder then it goes directly those folder under webroot. Now I need to restrict all other surfer to get that access other then me. Main objective not to share css or js or any other user files under css or js or sub folder like test under webroot directly. But it will be used by the website itself. When I restricted the css or js or otherFolder subFolder using .htaccess then the website itself does not use as well. I want to use those files by the website itself not downloaded or viewed or accessed by the others. Pls help me in this matter.
