Meetups are an excellent way to chat with like minded people as well as become a part of your local community! They are an excellent opportunity to share the CakePHP love! Meetups are difficult to organize, but when a group comes together, the magic is undeniable - Do you have a local meet up that you attend or want to start up? Well we have some great news! We are there to support you - let us know about your meetup and we can see how we can help! Some tips to get your meet up started: Do some research, is there already a local group you can join? Not? That's ok! There are a lot of like-minded people, start your own and invite them! Have an idea in mind, from Hackathons through to speakers or even virtual guests and dinner, Set up, find a platform that you can invite others to join (Meetup.com perhaps?) Tell people about it! Post on social, email local companies. Get the word out there! What's Baking with CakePHP?

Have you been baking up a storm??  View this email in your browser CakePHP 3.4 Released! Have you tested it out yet? Let us know what you think!   This release is a stable release for the 3.4 release branch. 3.4.0 provides a number of improvements to CakePHP. It also deprecates several features that will be removed in 4.0.0. What it does mean though, is that with the release of 3.4.0, CakePHP 3.1.x becomes end of life and will no longer receive security updates. 3.2 will continue to enjoy security fixes until the release of 3.5.0. 3.3.15 also fresh out of the ovens! CakePHP 3.3.15 will be the last bugfix release for 3.3, as 3.4.0 is released. After this release, 3.3 will only receive security fixes. As you know, we want to know what you want to hear and see within our community, so we are appealing to you to reach out! - This month, we are looking for your thoughts on what topics you want to learn more about within CakePHP, what interests you! Drop us an email and let us know.
