Re: read(null,$id) or findById($id) and limit data in associated model

I don't understood cleary what you need, but try this

$brand - $this->Brand->Product->find( 'all', array ( 'conditions' => array( 'Product.brand_id' => $some_id )));

       var $name = 'Brands';

               if (!$id) {
                       $this->Session->setFlash(__('Invalid brand', true));
