The requested URL /users/register was not found on this server.

Hi all,
I am new to cakephp i have followed a tutorial on ibm
developerworks.when submit data in a form i have this error:The
requested URL /users/register was not found on this server.I have
installed cakephp in /var/www/cakephp and I have in the apache log
file this error:
[Tue Mar 20 00:04:24 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not
exist: /var/www/users, referer: http://localhost/cakephp/Users/register.How
can I change the document root to /var/www/cakephp?
