Weird character in generated code

Hi everyone, this is my first post in this group.

I'm using CakePHP v2.2.2 on a Mac OS X platform (Mamp Pro).
My pages are all UTF-8.
Core config file is set to UTF-8 as well.

I have a strange text character at the beginning of my generated html code (please look at the attachments) with both my custom layout and the default layout.

This character does not appear in cakephp default welcome page.

Where should I look to correct this, when this character does not appear in my php code!
