(CakePHP 2.4.1) Set $useDbConfig in a model, uses the proper DB config, but the login/password used is the one from default datasource

Set $useDbConfig in a model, uses the proper DB config, but the login/password used is the one from default datasource

No idea what the issue is, can anyone help?
