who can tell me what the Make is.

now I want to translate cakephp doc hosted in github(https://github.com/cakephp/docs).
but and they say in the README.mdown file, I at first should install some tools for build the document.

• Make
• Python
• Sphinx
• PhpDomain for sphinx

but one of them Make I can't understand and never used before, any one can help me ? thanks!
