Re: Cakephp Ajax helper or Jquery?

Hi Sam,

I would suggest using jQuery and creating your own ajax controller.

The reason I recommend this is because you can optimise the code in a lot more detail and if you've never dealt with AJAX learning how to do it without Cake's magic is a good place to begin.

Hi Cakephp experts,

I would like to try out Ajax. May I know what are the pros and cons of Cakephp Ajax helper and Jquery? I have never touched ajax and would like to know which is a better choice as a start. Thank you very much.
