cakephp model returns data in wrong character set

Hi,

I read data by function myModel->query('sqlString'). Data looks like this: "é kÄ¾ÃºÄ e k výkla"
I guess everything is set to utf8. My class DATABASE_CONFIG too:

class DATABASE_CONFIG {

    public $default = array(
        'datasource' => 'Database/Mysql',
        'persistent' => false,
        'host' => 'localhost',
        'login' => '...',
        'password' => '...',
        'database' => '...',
        'prefix' => '',
        'encoding' => 'utf8'
    );
}

When I read data by pure php code the data are ok.
When I read data by the same cakephp code from another mysql server (under windows), data are ok.

Can anyone advice me?
