CacheEngine and garbage collection

Hi

Ive set up a cache config as follow:

Cache::config('file', array(

'engine' => 'File',

'prefix' => false,

'duration' => '+10 minutes',

'path' => CACHE . 'files' . DS,

));

After writing to this cache config I call

Cache::gc('file');

But this does...nothing :( The files stay in the cache.

Am I missing someting or why does this not work?
