Dilip,

That's correct. If you do not provide a layout, CakePHP will use the
ones in the cake/libs/views/layouts/email/{html,text}/default.ctp.
Instead of modifying these files provide your own in your app/views/
layouts/email/{html,text}/default.ctp.
