Re: Licensing question

All CakePHP code is under MIT license and doesn't include any vendor components.
Only optional dependency is phpunit for running test suite (which is not packaged with CakePHP code and has to be installed separately).

Hi,

I want to use cake php to create a open source web app under MIT License. I want to know whether all components that come with the core cakephp are under MIT license ? Does cakephp use other vendor components, or whether the entire code is written by cakephp team itself under MIT License ? I know most of the popular frameworks mix components from other vendors which can be in a different license. I am new to cakephp and want to be sure about licensing issues before jumping ship :)

Regards.
