Auth Only Showing Logged in on Users Controller

I was trying to change cakephp to use a database table for sessions
instead of php and now when I log in, it only shows me as logged in
when i'm on the users controller. I tried changing cake back to using
PHP for sessions but the problem continues. Any ideas of what could be
going on?
