I think that if you use the containable-behaviour (like I do with all
my models...) you can decide everywhere if you want to grab the user-
relations or not. So this would not be a problem, and there would be
only few actions and sections of the programm that would involve the
user-realtions. Like I mentioned before, in this case we discuss here
it's not like facebook with 200 million users :)

But the approach with the join table seems right, I'm happy that I
know now how to implement such a task.

With a group it should be similar, right? If you want to store which
user is part of which group, I could use the similar approch with such
a table and would know on the user side, in which group the user is a
member, and on the group side, which users are members of that
group :)

It's pretty interesting how things work :) I guess when you code it
the right way it should work like a charm with cake!

Any others suggestions about thos things?
